Jamie McLeod (Chair)
Jamie McLeod has had the privilege of growing and developing throughout her career in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility in the areas of Information Technology, Project Development and Operations. Her experience encompasses project and portfolio management, strategic planning, risk management, vendor management, resource utilization, revenue growth, and cost reduction. Her ability to analyze needs and create unique solutions designed to yield a profitable outcome has proven to be one of her greatest assets.
Jamie has proven to be an engaged leader successfully leading credit unions through significant change including; multiple technology upgrades, several product and service developments, numerous process improvement initiatives, merger integration and banking system conversion. Her strengths lie in her ability to conceive and implement strategic plans and negotiate strategic partnerships to drive new delivery channel initiatives.
Angela Brown is a VP of Marketing with First West Credit Union, BC’s third largest credit union with 54 branches, 35 insurance offices and nearly $12B in assets. First West Credit union currently has 4 regional brands for which Angela oversees the marketing: Envision Financial, Valley First, Island Savings and Enderby & District Financial. Angela is an active member of the organization’s senior leadership group and leads teams throughout the province. Angela’s areas of expertise including marketing, branding, community investment, communications and public relations. She pioneered First West’s signature cause programs, centered around supporting local food banks, and to date, they have raised nearly $2 million to help the cause around the province.
She is passionate about storytelling and using data to power compelling creative and marketing. Based in the Okanagan Valley, Angela has been in the Credit Union system for 9 years, previously having worked in the insurance business in various sales & marketing roles with a private broker as well as the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. Prior to her work in the financial services and insurance industries, Angela cut her journalistic teeth in the newsroom as a reporter. She’s been involved in marketing, communications and PR for over 30 years.
When not at work or volunteering her time and expertise in the community, she and her husband Randy enjoy travelling, exploring the Okanagan by boat and playing the occasional game of fairly bad golf.
Mark Cauchi has been Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer of Alterna Savings and Alterna Bank since 2013. Mark combines a successful consulting, customer service, managed services, and business-focused background with extensive IT delivery and operational experience. He is recognized for strategic vision, innovative problem solving, and effecting organization-wide improvements. Mark holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.
Mark has served as a Board Director with Our Place Peel, a shelter and centre for homeless youth, and supports a variety of community programs for local youth.
In financial services for 39 years, Dave has held a variety of executive roles. Dave has been on the chief executive team at FirstOntario Credit Union for the past 12 years, currently its Chief Risk Officer. Previous roles were EVP Sales, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and the initial Chief Executive Officer of a newly created Corporate Investment Division now managing $200 million in alternative investments. Dave also has US financial services experience having served as National Sales Officer with CUNA Mutual Group, based in Madison Wisconsin. With the CUMIS Group in Canada Dave held roles of Regional Vice President Atlantic Canada in Halifax, Regional Vice President Western Canada in Vancouver, and National Vice President Sales.
Dave has extensive board experience having served 9 years on the executive committee of the Ontario Credit Union Foundation and upon stepping down in 2019 Dave was recently honored as an inductee into the OCUF’s Wall of Fame. Dave’s current board roles include chair of the Ontario Insurance Advisory Board and a member of the Executive Transition Committee of the Credit Union National Credit Card program.
Supreet Warna is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for Retail Banking and Wealth Management for HSBC. As a senior leader, she oversees many diverse teams that support the retail and wealth business. Her mandate includes Channel Optimization across ATM, Branch, Digital, Contact Center, and Remote Channels. She also leads advanced analytics, data and information management, customer relationship management, business management and sales effectiveness. Supreet is known for her strategic vision, leading teams to overcome business challenges, and strong execution strength.
In addition to Supreet’s role as Chief Administrative Officer, she also serves as a Director on three subsidiary boards for HSBC. Two of these boards oversee businesses with a high degrees of complexity and regulatory oversight. She is also passionate about Diversity and Inclusion and have held leadership positions in many diversity affiliation groups. In 2018, Supreet received a “Woman In Focus” award by the Times of Canada magazine for her efforts.
Suzanne Ennis is currently the Senior Vice President at Shyft Network International. Shyft has built open coalition standards for crypto exchange communication, governance, and compliance with GDPR and the FATF Travel Rule. Suzanne has been instrumental in establishing key partnerships with exchanges, jurisdictions, and lobbying efforts with respect to digital asset regulation and data platforms all over the world.
Suzanne has over 15 years of experience in reshaping traditional industries by introducing disruptive technologies to solve business challenges and create competitive advantages, while also promoting social and financial inclusion. Prior to joining Shyft, Suzanne spent over 10 years working with some of the largest asset managers in North America with a primary focus on both global retail and institutional business development. In addition, Suzanne has spoken on panels all over the world about data privacy and blockchain technology and adoption.
Corey Gross is the co-founder and CEO of Sensibill, a leading provider of everyday financial tools and SKU-level data that helps financial institutions better know and serve their customers. Founded in 2013, Corey has grown Sensibill into a thriving fintech company, raising more than CAD $60M, and receiving major industry awards from KMPG, Deloitte, and E&Y. In his role of CEO, Corey is responsible for overseeing Sensibill's business strategy, finances, partnerships, and product vision.
Corey is an award-winning repeat entrpreneur and thought leader in the world of payments, digital banking and digital receipts. His expertise and experience have landed him several speaking spots at industry events, and he is regularly quoted in leading financial services publications. As a member of the Forbes Financial Council, Corey provides commentary on industry issues and trends.
Corey graduated from the University of Western Ontario and has a JD from the University of Detroit and the University of Windsor, with a specialization in intellectual property law.
